What is the average cost per year for a high school student?

Tuition varies depending on the number of courses a student takes and the method in which those courses are delivered — online or correspondence. As such, a full school year — considered to be five one-credit courses — varies between $1400 - $2600. Unlike other schools, Keystone tuition includes high-quality textbooks, course materials, and teacher instruction. There are no hidden fees.

Online courses, which are $379 each (for a full year), enhance the student's learning experience with games and other interactive activities, proactive online teacher support, a 72-hour turnaround time on student assessments and links to outstanding course-related web sites. Correspondence courses are $279 (full year) each. Half credit (single semester) courses are also available.

Keystone offers a convenient Tuition Payment Plan, in which the cost of tuition can be spread over several months with no financing charges. For more information, click here.

How much do your courses cost?

The cost of our courses depends on the course format: correspondence (paper-based) or online. The price for a full-credit correspondence course is $279; the price for a full-credit online course is $379. Either format offers the same academically sound, accredited, self-directed program of study. Additionally, we offer AP online courses for $429.00 per full-credit course; $299.00 per half-credit course.

What are the benefits of taking an online course?

There are many! Online courses:

-Include animated graphics to make learning more interesting, to make the lesson come to life, and to present concepts in a visual way;

-Include games and other interactive activities that reinforce concepts in a fun and interesting manner;

-Offer proactive online teacher support through email and a bulletin board;

-Provide online testing with instantaneous scoring of objective questions and a 72-hour turnaround time on subjective questions so that your course progression is as quick as your pace allows; and

-Include links to outstanding course-related web sites, access to the online library, and connection with online tutorials so that your learning continues beyond the course content.

Keystone's online students receive the same high-quality textbooks used in our correspondence program. (Note: some courses do not require a textbook.)

Do we have to pay for everything all at once, or can we make monthly payments?

You may finance the cost of your tuition — interest free -- through the Keystone Tuition Payment Plan. Under our plan, tuition is financed over several months by deducting equal monthly payments from your bank account. Qualification under this plan is simple: there are no credit checks and all applicants who have bank accounts or active credit cards can participate under the plan.

To apply for the Keystone Tuition Payment Plan, call Student Services at 1-800-255-4937 or click here to learn more about the plan and download an application form.

For those families that are interested, tuition can be paid in full at the time of enrollment via check, money order, or major credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover).

Additionally, we offer the Keystone Family Plan, in which two or more individuals from your immediate family enroll at Keystone, OR another family member enrolls at a later date, and your family receives a 10% reduction in tuition for new, subsequent student(s).
