Rebecca Rampp-Gruenloh
by Cathy Soukup
This profile of Ms. Rampp was written by Cathy Soukup, Keystone student and member of the Keystone Connection staff. Following are excerpts from the Teacher Feature:
This month the Keystone Connection has the pleasure of featuring Ms. Rebecca Rampp! She teaches two classes at Keystone National High School: English (Grammar and Composition) and French. She is the teacher for Grammar and Composition in the eSchool program, and teaches French I and II through the iSchool program. Ms. Rampp got into teaching a long time ago just by helping a friend study, and then pass Biology. She had never realized that she was good at teaching, but did realize that she enjoyed sharing information and helping others learn to retain the information. She was glad that she could be a part of helping someone else benefit from learning.
Ms. Rampp decided to join Keystone because she thought it would be very worthwhile to interact with people she would normally never meet, either because they were learning in their own homes or lived in a different area. She is grateful that she can influence so many more students, and is amazed when she will receive an email from one of them, thanking Ms. Rampp for his or her experience. She says that she feels as though she should be thanking them for allowing her the opportunity to work with them! Ms. Rampp also feels that there are many benefits to distance learning, including being able to work at your own pace, and having a more personal, one-on-one relationship with the instructors. Another benefit is being able to do the coursework anywhere; essentially you are able to experience life in great ways, but still get your coursework done, instead of spending each day in a classroom.
