Community : Student Life
Some level of socialization is important in every learning environment. So Keystone makes sure that all students have access to student-to-student interactions to enrich their high school experience.
Students can choose to connect with other students by participating in the following group activities:
- Student Newspaper — Our online student-produced newspaper, the Keystone Connection, serves as the voice of the Keystone student body. Work with other students, express your opinions, and write articles to share with the Keystone community at large.
- Student Association — Join other future leaders as they discuss issues and make decisions that shape societies.
- The National Society of High School Scholars — Founded by Claes Nobel, this society is an extraordinary distinction for outstanding students, and a great way to enhance your resumé and college applications.
- Photo Club — Get involved with other creative students who enjoy capturing life with their cameras.
- NEW! Book Club — The book club will choose books to read for enjoyment, and discuss with the group. Students can make book suggestions, and a club blog enables students to participate in an active conversation about literature.
- Keystone Blackboard System (online students only) — Access discussion boards, tips for distance learning, information on college and career planning, and much more.
- Keystone Virtual Graduation — This June, Keystone will be hosting the second annual Keystone Virtual Graduation, available to all students who completed their graduate requirements between May 24th, 2008 and May 22nd, 2009. Students will be presented with a special graduation speech from the director of Keystone National High School, Tim Magner as well as congratulatory messages from many Keystone teachers, and the ability to chat with other Keystone graduates via Elluminate. Students will be notified via email and mail when the Virtual Graduation is available for viewing.
