Keystone National Middle School: Now Open!

KC DISTANCE LEARNING ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF KEYSTONE NATIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOL
(KC Distance Learning, Portland, OR) - KC Distance Learning, operator of an accredited and licensed online and correspondence high school program, Keystone National High School, has added a middle school program, Keystone National Middle School, in response to consumer demand. Courses became available to students on August 1, 2008.
Keystone National Middle School is a flexible, online educational program similar to Keystone National High School but serving students in grades 6 through 8. Keystone National Middle School offers a complete middle school program with a comprehensive curriculum supported by state-certified teachers and experienced counselors. Families can enroll their students anytime of the year, either in a full grade level program, or in individual courses to supplement a homeschool or traditional curriculum, and students can work at their own pace.
"In serving families with high school aged children enrolled in Keystone National High School, we recognized the need for a similar program at the middle school level," said Mark Burke, Director of Keystone National High School and now Keystone National Middle School. "Families are looking for a flexible education option for their children and don't want to compromise quality. In response to this need, and based on the vast experience we have gained from Keystone National High School, we developed Keystone National Middle School."
Keystone National Middle School places strong emphasis on parent involvement and keeps parents updated on student accomplishments through progress reports and on-demand real-time access to student activity from any computer with access to internet.
Students started pre-enrolling in Keystone National Middle School in mid-May. "We are on pace for several hundred students in the first year," says Mark Burke, "and at this early stage demand is strong."
Keystone National High School is an accredited independent study high school, serving students in all 50 states and around the world. Our mission is to help our students achieve their individual potential. We do this by offering an innovative, flexible, student-focused education built on more than 35 years experience that uses the latest distance learning approaches.
